I just got a haircut in Ho Chi Minh City. I won't mention the place by name, but let's just say it's very popular with the "hip" crowd, long lines out the door sometimes. The first thing I say is: I miss Hanoi Cartel Studio! The dudes there really know what they are doing. They're pros: they listen to the client, understand styling, and take their time to attain perfection. It isn't cheap and it isn't fast. What I just got in HCM was, by comparison, the fast food of haircuts. All style and no substance. Which is not to say Hanoi Cartel isn't stylish; it's a very cool multi-floor studio in a converted house. Very Westlake Hanoi style, perfect blend of local with international flair. My stylist (I'm so sorry I forgot your name, bro!) spoke flawless English, almost native speaker level and was just the nicest, coolest guy. Like literally, after my experience in HCM, I would literally fly back to Hanoi if there's a promo fare to get a haircut. Keep doing what you're doing, guys. You're the best!
