Little Bowl reviews
51 Location: 4/5 on a small street that's easily accessible
Price: 5/5 hella cheap and worth
Service: 5/5 there is just the lady working there most of the time but she is attentive and friendly and speaks fair amount of English
Food: 5/5 not overly sweet and just sweet enough to satisfy your sweet tooth. It's traditional Vietnamese dessert and there's a pre-set menu but you're always welcome to take out items or substitute items.
This place was so good we actually went there for dessert every night we were in Hanoi!
Every time I take people to this gem of a dessert place they tell me it's one of the best things they have put into there mouths. Try there Jackfruit Che. It's to die for!
Very cute little shop with outdoor seating, tried the traditional and caramel bowl, both were really good, the jellies delicious and ice comes on the side which is a plus. The owner was very sweet and spoke a fair amount of English. If you like cold Vietnamese dessert soup, give it a try, it's worth it ;)
Amazingly tasty traditional Vietnamese desserts in a cosy, welcoming environment. I tried the Durian mix, the traditional mix and the hot cassava bowl (my favourite)!
I had the durian special bowl. Very colorful melange of different jellies, bean thingies and a side of crushed ice to cool the soupy sensation to your liking. Not too sweet which was nice, so the coconut milk and the jackfruit did the heavy lifting since the durian paste was not as sweet and pungent as I would have liked, but did enjoy it regardless. I paid 30k which for me is worth the little detour!
I had the mixed durian bowl for 30k dong. Decent heap of durian puree, the sagos and jelly were all nice. Good place to drop by for a Vietnamese sweet treat.
Good, quick fix for a local dessert after a meal! I returned here twice for my stay in Hanoi- Tried the caramel dessert twice and durian once! Awesome and affordable.
We had the mixed durian bowl and it was so delicious we ordered a second bowl. We were provided a bowl of shaved ice to dilute the dessert if we found it too sweet. We will return.
Awesome dessert spot in the Old Quarter! We had the Caramel Mixed Chè Bowl & the Yogurt with Jackfruit - both were super delicious! The caramel bowl had caramel flan, rice jelly, green rice jelly, mango jelly and blueberry pop balls. The jackfruit yogurt bowl had rice jelly, green rice jelly, sliced jackfruit and blueberry pop balls. So good!
Excellent dessert shop to try some Vietnamese dessert. The hot taro bowl was very warming on a cool day. The store also has a hand painted map to provide some recommendations for other shops nearby.
Le traditionnal mixed bowl et le caramel with ice cream étaient exceptionnels, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Les
désserts proposés sont délicieux et les prix sont très faibles, recommandé.
Great place to visit after dinner in hanoi! Love all the taro balls, banana balls, dragon fruit balls etc. Durian bowl was also great, durian paste was not overpowering.
Delicious dessert and a great setting to boot. A nice end to a night in Hanoi. We tried several bowl and loved each one of them. Was pleasantly surprised with the durian bowl.
A quaint little cafe offering the best dessert in Hanoi's Old Quarter. Rooted in Vietnamese traditional style, you're going to find a delightful mix of items in your dessert. We walked almost a kilometre to reach the Little Bowl and every spoon was worth the effort. There are options for vegans as well. Highly recommended food-stop
It was a very good surprise to find this place. It's really good, and a combination with good sense of humor 'if eating dessert is wrong, I don't want to be right'
Best place of Che
More comfortable than others
Owner can speak english & have a english menu.
Loved this little place! It’s a gem! Not only you get to try Vietnamese desserts but the people in the shop are soooooo nice! They take time to explain and happy to answer any questions. The durian bowl I had was delicious and the lady explained how to eat it properly by adding ice. Definitely recommend this place
Really fantastic and tasty range of traditional desserts in coconut milk. Very friendly and helpful staff when I asked about whether there was any cow’s milk in the dessert bowls. Close to the centre of town I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. Very, very, very good!
What a great place to go for dessert. It was so good, we just about ordered everything on the menu. The staff were super friendly and the desserts were so cheap. We had 6 desserts and they came to a total of around $7 Australian. Definitely recommend
Simple yet delicious dessert. Must try the yogurt and caramel. The owner is able to speak fluent English.
